The International Maritime Film Festival is pleased to bring you IMFF OFF SEASON, a series of three feature films in the lead up to this year’s festival weekend scheduled for September 28-30, 2018.
ALL FILMS WILL SCREEN AT 6PM AT THE ALAMO THEATRE IN DOWNTOWN BUCKSPORT
This series is offered for free to the community thanks to a generous grant from the Arts Expansion Fund of the Maine Community Foundation. Donations to IMFF are gratefully accepted at the door.

UNDER AN ARCTIC SKY
Six surfers set sail along the frozen shores of Iceland, knowing that the worst storm to hit the country in twenty-five years is about to arrive. Enduring constant darkness and stormy seas, they discover perfect waves and make history by surfing under the northern lights.
Meet Alex Rust, a farm boy turned day trader from Indiana who, at 25, abandoned his yuppie life in Chicago, bought a modest sailboat, and set out to sail around the world. Watch the trailer here. Filmmaker will be in attendance to introduce film and take audience questions.
