There is so much going on in downtown Bucksport this holiday season. Join us at an event or just come to do your holiday shopping. And while you’re there, grab a bite to eat, enjoy the waterfront walkway (still gorgeous, even in the cold) and the lovely lights and holiday decorations that fill the downtown.

Saturday, November 25 at 10am: Ribbon cutting for Small Business Saturday on Main Street
Saturday, November 25: Kick off of Think Local First Campaign which continues through Christmas. Anyone who turns in a receipt to the Chamber from a local small business, or posts a selfie with their receipt on Facebook with the hashtag #thinklocalfirst, is entered into a drawing to win $100 (contributed by Main Street Bucksport) and a copy of Still Mill (contributed by BookStacks)
Saturday, November 25 at 6pm: Town Tree Lighting at Town Office with hot cocoa from Guns and Hoses. Heart and Soul Building will be open to warm up and learn more about their work.
Saturday, December 9: Events throughout the day at Lighthouse Arts Center: Toys for Tots, collecting letters to Santa, making decorations with kids, and Santa Claus is coming to Lighthouse after parade!
Saturday, December 9 at 5pm: Parade of Lights! If you are interested in having a float, call the town office or email Chris to register. There are prizes for three best floats. After the parade Heart and Soul is open and invites the community to come view draft community value statements. Follow Santa down to Lighthouse Arts Gallery to give him your wishlist and snap a picture.
Thursday, December 14 from 5-7pm: Night on the Town with live music in several stores and restaurants (exact musicians and locations TBD) Plus, a holiday photo booth at Heart and Soul!
Friday, December 22 at 5:30pm: Community caroling! Meet at Verona Wine and Design.
December 31 at midnight: Ball drop downtown. Verona and Wine and Design is offering tapas buffet and music inside and an outdoor ice sculpture will be constructed during the day. Come check it out.
